Kendra's passion for working with individuals with special needs began when her younger brother was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Since then she's been very active in working with individuals in the ASD community. At Southern Illinois University she worked as a Research Assistant in a sight & sound laboratory looking at how individuals with autism socially interact with robots. Kendra earned co-authorship on the research abstract which has been recognized by the National Society of Neuroscience. She then transferred to Western Washington University where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. Kendra is currently enrolled in Capella University's Master's in Psychology program with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis and is very passionate about earning her BCBA credential. She looks forward to using her personal connection with ASD to excel in communication with clients and their families. Her future goal as a BCBA is to help individuals advocate for their needs in order to improve overall daily living, strengthen relationships with others, and live a fulfilled and happy life.
