Laura was introduced to the autism community at a very young age, as she grew up with an older sister with autism. It wasn’t until high school and into college that she truly realized her passion helping those with autism and other developmental disorder, as she took part in a variety of summer camps and classes for both kids and adults with disabilities. Not long after she got her bachelor’s degree in biology and a minor in psychology from Gonzaga University, she stumbled across the field of ABA and has been working with APPLE Consulting since. Laura is excited to be going back to school to get her Masters of Education in Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis and further help kids with autism and their families. In the future Laura would like to either go into autism research, work in the school setting, or work on creating programs to help transition young adults with autism into the workplace and/or independent living situations.
