Janaina Oliveira got introduced to ABA when her son got diagnosed with ASD, seen his BCBA and all other professionals work with him and all the improvements he got because Applied Behavior Analysis sparkled a passion for ABA.
She pursed her undergraduate studies in Childhood Psychology with emphasis in Autism and minor in social work at Rider University, Lawrenceville, NJ.
Her research while in school was about play skills and deficits of theory of mind with individuals on the spectrum.
She worked and interned in schools for children on the spectrum. She got her RBT and CBT in WA and now is enrolled in Master of Applied Behavior with Certification in Autism at Ball State University.
Her goal is to be a BCBA to help families and advocate for parents mental health and support, where they can relate to have someone that understands them on their journey with Autism. She is an advocate for neuro diversity and inclusion for individuals on the spectrum and their families.
