Alessandra’s passion for working with people with special needs started at the age of twelve when her cousin was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Since then she’s volunteered for various organizations serving people on the autism spectrum. At University of Washington she double majored in Early Childhood and Family Studies and Psychology. During her undergraduate years she worked at the Experimental Education Unit where she learned about UW’s Master’s in Special Education with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis program. She completed the program in 2017 where she completed her practicum at an extended day program in a local school district designed for preschoolers with autism. Alessandra has been with APPLE Consulting since June of 2017 and she is looking forward to working with families of all backgrounds to provide the best individualized care for people with autism.
