Joanna Zeng
Intern
Joanna comes from a background in cultural anthropology and media studies, where her academic work has focused on promoting caregivers’ mental well-being and critically examining how autistic individuals are represented in the media. These interests strengthened her commitment to advocating for the needs of the autism community and inspired her to pursue a master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis at the University of Washington.
In her clinical work, Joanna enjoys connecting with children through play, curiosity, and naturalistic learning opportunities. She values creating environments where clients feel safe, respected, and empowered. Joanna is motivated by the belief that meaningful support emerges when clinical expertise and cultural understanding work hand in hand.
Outside of the clinic, Joanna enjoys outdoor activities, watching movies, and cooking
