Our Unique Approach

Comprehensive Team Approach: Each classroom team serves up to five students supported by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and a Special Education Teacher, with 1:1 or 2:1 behavior technician support based on each student’s individualized needs.

Assent-Based Learning: Instruction and skill development are guided by student choice, motivation, and communication, fostering trust and autonomy.

Integrated Academics and Life Skills: Students receive individualized instruction aligned with IEP goals, focusing on functional academics, communication, social interaction, self-regulation, and daily living skills.

Family and District Partnerships: We collaborate closely with public school districts, parents, and related service providers to ensure consistency, transparency, and shared progress.

Safe and Supportive Environment: Our staff are trained in Safety-Care crisis prevention and de-escalation to maintain safety while emphasizing positive, proactive strategies.

APPLE Academy’s ultimate goal is to help each student return successfully to their public school setting when they are ready—equipped with the skills, confidence, and self-regulation needed to participate more independently and meaningfully with peers.
