Intern

An Intern is a Behavior Technician that is currently in an accredited master's program to become a Behavior Analyst, that has opted into gaining supervision through our company for both restricted (direct care) and unrestricted (indirect care) activities. In addition to responsibilities of the job responsibilities of their main role as a Behavior Technician, the Intern may conduct additional activities related to their supervision requirements as required by the Behavior Analyst Certification (BACB).

Intern Qualification Requirements

Intern must meet all of the following educational requirements:

  • Have a bachelor's degree in the social sciences (psychology, education, social work, behavioral sciences, human development or related field) accredited by a United States or Canadian institution of higher education, or equivalent if an institution of higher education is located outside the United States or Canada; AND

  • Currently be enrolled in (or have completed) a Master’s level course of study toward acquiring a BCBA certification.

Intern must also commit to the following:​

  • Attend group supervision meetings for Interns with our company 2 times per month for 1 hour each (typically on Wednesdays from 5:30-6:30 pm.

  • If you choose to enroll in the Intern program, it is your responsibility to satisfy the requirements to sit for the BACB.

Interns will have the chance to engage in a variety of clinical opportunities that meet many of the requirements to sit for the BACB exam. Internship activities (may include but are not limited to):

  • Assist in assessment and treatment planning.

  • Make needed modifications to ongoing programs through consultation with the Clinical Supervisor. 

  • Provide information to the team regarding strategies/changes to the child’s programming.

  • Provide families with forms as needed outlining strategies/skills for families to work on in conjunction with programming and for the purposes of generalization.

  • Provide family/parent training in techniques as directed by the Clinical Supervisor.
